Aphonopelma chalcodes (Arizona Blonde)

The Aphonopelma chalcodes, commonly known as the Arizona Blonde, is a popular tarantula native to southern Arizona and northern Mexico. Recognized for its soft blonde hairs and calm demeanor, this species is a great choice for both beginners and experienced keepers. Out there, it digs burrows in soft, well-draining soil, which help it stay cool during the blazing days and protected from big temperature swings. In captivity, it’s important to give them something similar.
